But who cares?

I'm really starting to like this album from Gnales Barkley. Here's what Triple J had to say about it:
"Crazy" has gone gangbusters, and now it’s time to hear the whole deal from the hottest duo in the world. Danger Mouse (real name Brain Burton) is the Gorillaz producer, who made the bootlegged Grey Album, and was part of Danger Doom. He's collaborated for the first time with Atlantan soul singer Cee-Lo who's made two of his own albums to date. This is futuristic soul music. Sexy and smart; sophisticated and simple at once. This is one of the records of the year!

I can get you a toe, believe me.

I figured that since I talk about it so much, I might as well post about it! I love The Big Lebowski. It is by far the greatest movie ever made in my opinion. For those of you who haven't seen or even heard of it yet you can read the plot summary at IMDB.

The movie is from the Coen brothers stable. They also made Fargo and O Brother Where Art Thou, amoung others.

I'd love to put some quotes in here but I don't think they meet the rating requirements for this blog. Anyway, do yourself a favour, go down to the local Blockbuster and rent it. I promise you won't reget it!!!

Locked Notes

Locked Notes is a free website that allows you to store day-to-day notes online and then access them from anywhere that you have access to a browser and the internet. Locked Notes is 'locked' because all the data is stored in a database using 256-bit Strong Encryption.

Locked Notes
Locked Notes is officially 'beta', and still very much a work in progress. Visit the Locked Notes website to find out more.

Thanks to Damien Sawyer for pointing this one out too me.

Unspeak

Steven Poole is the author of a book titled 'Unspeak'. He was recently intervied on ABC Radio National and had this to say:

...'unspeak' is a political term that smuggles in an opinion about what it's supposed to be describing. So take a very simple example, the phrase 'tax relief' which is often used by conservatives in America especially...
I thought it was very intersting just how many of these 'unpeak' terms are actually used today without much notice. Here are just a few:
  • climate change
  • global warming
  • war on terror
  • ethnic cleansing
  • weapons of mass desstruction
  • alsylum seekers

It's amazing how a few simple words can completly change the way we think about things...

Second door on the right...

This is Wyuna. I have decided to dedicate my first blog to the man that convinced me create one. I have spent the last 12 months reading his blog and finding all sorts of interesting stuff. Now it's my turn to repay the favour.

While you are waiting for me add some cool stuff to the page I suggest you read Ian Farmer's blog over at Frontiering. Until next time...
